Privacy policy

Harbor Books is a service of Vanamonde Technologies LLC. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Last updated July 2, 2026.

What we collect

Information you give us directly: your name, email, and anything you include in the contact form or share with us as a client (financial records, tax documents). We don't buy data about you, and we don't use advertising trackers on this site.

How we use it

To reply to you, to provide bookkeeping, accounting, and tax services you've engaged us for, and to meet our legal obligations as a tax preparer. We do not sell your information to anyone, full stop.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers who help us run the practice — our encrypted document portal, read-only bank-connection provider, and bookkeeping and tax software — and only so they can do that work for you. We also share information when the law requires it, such as filing a return you've asked us to prepare. We never sell it and never hand it to advertisers.

How long we keep it

As long as you're a client, and for the years afterward that tax and professional record-keeping rules require. When a record is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete or securely destroy it.

How we protect it

Client documents move through an encrypted portal rather than email. Bank connections are read-only. Access is limited to the people working on your account.

Your choices

Ask us what we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it — we'll do that except where we're required to keep it. You can opt out of any non-essential email at any time. Just email us and a person will help.

Changes and questions

If we update this policy we'll change the date above. Email info@harborbooks.tax and a person will answer within one business day.
